Who we are

Silk Cleaning Services ("we", "us") provides domestic and commercial cleaning services in the United Kingdom. This notice explains how we handle the personal details you send us through this website. What we collect and why

When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the service you are interested in and your message. We use these details only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, arrange the work. We also record the date and time of the message and the internet address it was sent from, which we use to protect the form from misuse.

Our legal basis for this is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.

Who we share it with

Your enquiry is delivered by email to our business mailbox, which is hosted on servers in the UK or the European Economic Area. We do not sell your details or share them with anyone else for marketing.

How long we keep it

If you do not become a customer, we delete enquiry emails within 12 months. If you do become a customer, we keep the details needed to manage your bookings and invoices for as long as required by UK tax law (normally six years).

Cookies

This website sets one strictly necessary cookie (silksess) so that the security check on the contact form works. It contains a random identifier only, is deleted when you close your browser and is not used for tracking or advertising. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies.

Your rights

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data.
